With a small staff and over 100 volunteers, ECCO provides a range of services and programs at no charge that include but are not limited to…an emergency food pantry, emergency financial assistance for utilities, housing and other economic needs; medical outreach to assist client/patients suffering from chronic illness obtain prescription medicines; client referral services to other organizations and agencies in the greater Charleston area; the operation of an emergency dental clinic, and providing donated household furnishings and clothing. A number of organizations that assist the needy are partnering with ECCO at our facility to help center services, and reduce redundancy and cost. ECCO welcomes over 5,000 person visits per year, and thousands more are helped when including all members of households served.
