We are open for client services from 10-4 Monday thru Friday and our "shifts" for volunteers are generally 10-1 or 1-4.

We have orientation on the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00am as well as on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 1:30 pm.

We currently have positions open in the
clothing area on all days and shifts except
Tuesday morning.

Volunteers are the cornerstone of ECCO's
ability to serve our neighbors. They make up a true cross section of the community...
retirees, working professionals, students,
scouts, church youth and other organizations.

There are no restrictions as to the days or
number of shifts a volunteer can serve. All
volunteers are asked to attend at least 4
hours of training. Interviewers receive
additional training and are asked to attend
periodic workshops to learn and exchange
information.

There are various opportunities to serve at
ECCO - from positions that bring you in

East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) is
seeking individuals who could be a good
neighbor in our medical, dental, and
counseling areas.

Volunteers for ECCO's Medical Program -
Doctors to supervise medical students. Last
week, 30 people were seeking medical care and
only 6 were seen due to the lack of volunteer
physicians.

Volunteers for ECCO's Dental Program -
Dentists are needed to work in the evening
emergency clinic to extract abscessed teeth.
We are turning people in pain away! The
Dental Clinic also needs office assistance so
anyone with experience in a medical or dental
office would be a great help.

Volunteers for interviewing and counseling
families and individuals who are in
distressed situations.

Volunteers for mentoring people who desire to
change their standard of living.
