About
East Cooper Community Outreach

Since its establishment in 1989, ECCO takes
justifiable pride in the thousands of clients it has served despite its
previous inadequate and obsolete facilities. In 2003, ECCO relocated
from a building adjacent to the SC Army National Guard to a new
state-of-the-art facility on Six Mile Road (just north of Towne Centre
Mall) in Mt. Pleasant. The entire cost of the land and building was
donated so that ECCO can devote its resources to people in need rather
than to debt servicing. Despite this advantage, the need for increased
funding and volunteers remains great so that ECCO can continue to retain
its leadership position in providing the much-needed programs and
services that it offers.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, all donations to the
organization are tax deductible as allowed by law. Currently, ECCO
accepts donations of cash (check), securities and donated goods and
services. And, in conjunction with support to the organization, ECCO
offers the option and convenience of gifting by credit card
and/or automatic bank transfer.
