ECCO HOLDS A DENTAL CELEBRATION 

 Last month, Pat Ilderton, Chairman of the East Cooper Community Outreach "Advancing the Mission" campaign, and the members of the ECCO Board of Directors hosted a Major Donor Reception in conjunction with the celebration of its new partnership with MUSC’s College of Dentistry.  This partnership will provide every senior dental student the opportunity to serve ECCO clients as part of their training. The partnership will double the ECCO’s capacity in its dental service. There was a short presentation beginning at 4:30 pm followed by a reception. More than 50 were in attendance. 

Bill Condy, ECCO’s Board President, said, “We are delighted to add the service of MUSC dental students to the program at ECCO.  This is one more example of ECCO working in partnership with other organizations, to assist our neighbors in need.” 

ECCO is dedicated to helping the neighbors of East Cooper who live in situational and generational poverty.  Services include emergency food and clothing, financial assistance and free counseling, prescription assistance, and also medical and dental care to those who cannot afford them.  For more information on how you can be involved, contact Jan England at ext. 11 or jengland@eccocharleston.org.
